Dental work is INSANE. Truly.

Lots of things have happened.

Patrick left for basic..that hurts me. I miss him a lot and he'll be gone for like a million years. :(

I got a new bed! My old mattress was murdering my back, so I pulled out my super duper credit card (!) and bought a mattress and box spring and bedframe. It's just that hot. I'm no longer using a twin size bed! Feel the love!

We're taking Pooch in tomorrow to get her spayed. That makes me sad and scared for her but I guess it's what has to be done. :/

My aunt's birthday party is SATURDAY! Are y'ens coming? There'll be stuff!

And Halloween is soon..

A few things I'd like to discuss..

Resident Evil: Extinction and its amazing soundtrack.

My new St. Bernard puppy.

My upcoming week.

Anyways..

Resident Evil: Extinction. I love the Resident Evil franchise. I bought my first DVD player simply to watch the first Resident Evil movie. (I HAD to have the special features!)

After RE: Apocalypse (second movie for all you noobs), I waited forever for the third movie. But it came out on the 21st! Joyous. So why haven't I seen it?

Because:
I just got a NEW ST. BERNARD PUPPY!! (Named Sophie, so adorable, wubs her.)
AND
My aunt is in the hospital because of a dodgy spleen. It's apparently so swollen that it's pressing against her diaphragm, but they don't want to remove it because it's a risky surgery or something like that. She's been in the hospital for a week. Bollocks to that.

I get to play care worker for her, though, when she comes out. I have my nurse costume ready for Halloween, I'll wear it and all! (Not.) No, but it'll be fun. I mean, as fun as taking care of my ill aunt can be. :( Poor aunt.

So it's a goal of mine to go see the movie sometime this week. I feel like such a shoddy fan. To make up for it, I will have to pay for an Umbrella Corp shirt on eBay. The things I do..

The Secret Garden

I haven't seen 1492 the whole way through, but I think that the soundtrack is absolutely lovely. Probably one of the best movie scores ever. My all time favorite is likely The Secret Garden. Now THAT is genius. The Secret Garden always brings me back to a time when things were simple and free (literally free; I was a kid and didn't have to buy my own stuff). I didn't have to worry about health insurance or cavities (because until I turned nineteen, I didn't GET cavities) or even buying my own books. Provided for me!

The movie is great, the book is great, the score is great. One of these days I'm going to have a Secret Garden party and just spend the entire day lounging around, speaking with a stiff British accent and immersing myself in TSG goodness.

Mayflower II

I love this. I need to visit the Mayflower II. And I need to sail on it! But actually, I want to sail on the original Mayflower. Who has that time machine I've been asking for?

I would seriously trade my Nintendo DS for a time machine. THAT is how much I want one.

VMAs.
Who watched 'em?

Friday, September 7, 2007

YES!

So, I saw my crush of five years today. I hadn't seen him since February, so it was good. He was wearing dark blue gloves (??) and he looked hollow in the face. Lost weight? I hope his wife didn't have another baby or something and he's just not getting enough sleep at night. That bitch.

I saw him at 5pm so he's working late. Bilo, y'know. Loves it.

So things are slowly speeding up again. I have another job interview on Friday. I hope I get this one. I'm not going to go into details but it's a video rental store which I think would be a prime job for me at the moment. :)

Tomorrow I'm going to see about medical assistance. These teeth simply MUST be helped!

In other news: I have a million purses now. Okay, not a million. But like..seven. Which is a lot for me. Especially considering that I got them in a span of like three days. Loves it.

Patrick and I are speaking again. Patrick is love.

Fall Fashion & You

To take my mind off of my teeth woes (really, three root canals? I'm too young for this kind of stuff! And my teeth are so perfectly white..), I've been drowning my woes in shopping and scrapbooking. (So basically it's like usual, except I have a little voice in the back of my head saying, "HEY KELLY, you have to get massive dental work done really soon. How do you like those apples? Oh wait, you can't eat apples. Teeee!")

Now that fall is here, it's time for me to start shopping for my spring 2008 wardrobe. Actually, I'll be honest, I'm just now getting to my autumn 2007 clothing. Terrible, isn't it? I need desperate help. I know that black and brown are timelessly autumn, velvet clothing (you know, by Graham & Spencer) is in, and I always look good in pink or dark green.

What I really need is a personal stylist. That's why I was pretty happy when I found tobi.com. You can speak to a personal stylist and this stylist will..well, style you! I like that a lot because now I can be professionally styled WITHOUT having to break my bank, and at the end of the day, Rick Santorum will still be impressed. (Wait, Rick Santorum? What?)

Back to velvet clothes. I am in LOVE with this dress. Absolute love. And this one! You know, these are really good prices, too.

If you're looking for a basic long-sleeved tee for fall, I think that this is extremely cute. It looks like it's cute to really flatter, and I love those sleeves. I hate when shirts have sleeves that are too short!

A look that seems to be really in this season is the crossover look--kind of the wrap thing, y'know? I actually have tons of shirts with that look, and I love them all. here is an example of what I'm talking about. Back to great prices--I can guarantee that I paid more than that for my designer shirts that look pretty similar. I might have to use up my leftover birthday money just to pick up some of these shirts..I need to be careful though, because since I wear a D cup, sometimes I have problems with popping out! Eeep. It hurts to be fashionable!

So in summary, if you're looking for some fashion help (ie; you want a qualified stylist to give you some tips), you're looking for some good deals (especially on velvet apparel), or you're just looking to see what the latest fashions are, you should definitely check out tobi.com.

Kelly's First Fillings!

So I went in and got my (first ever!!) two fillings in yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Took about half an hour for both. He did fast work. The shots hurt, though! I had to get five because I guess I'm hard to numb..

Now he says I need three root canals instead of two, though. Guhhh. My teeth hurt. Hurt hurt hurt. I need insurance. Insuranceeeee. Lots of health insurance. I want to be COVERED in health insurance. I want to be so covered in health insurance, that it seeps into my bloodstream and makes me automatically healthy.

Sigh.

This weekend will probably be uneventful. I'm going to apply for more jobs at places where I don't really want to work, and then Sunday I get to dogsit for my neighbors which I actually really enjoy. I love my neighbors' dogs. Heart heart heart.

Anyways.

Stay healthy. Brush at least twice a day and floss once a day. Flossing is so important. SO IMPORTANT. And umm. Get lots of fresh air. And don't put your fingers in your mouth. I rub my thumbnail against my lower lip when I'm nervous, and I need to stop that because it's probably going to give me the bubonic plague or something someday.

THREE ROOT CANALS? That's the sound of me FAINTING and hitting my head off the DESK and now needing FIVE ROOT CANALS. Tony Blair have mercy.

I don't trust my dentist. Either of them.

Alright kids, I didn't update about this, but I will now.
I went in to a new dentist on..Monday? Tuesday? Monday I think. Yes, Monday. Some guy in New Castle. Dunno. My uncle recommended him.

Keep in mind that the last dentist said that I have three cavities and four beginning (heaven have mercy, this is bad enough..my poor sweet teeth!).

But this new guy says: ELEVEN CAVITIES. And two need root canals. ROOT CANALS?
ROOT CANALS?!?!?!?!?!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME.

My insurance still runs out tomorrow, so I don't know what the eff I'm going to do. I'm going in so he can drill like two cavities (if he really drills them..). And I don't know what to think. Do I have eleven cavities with two needing root canals? Or is he just a sham? WHO IS THE SHAM DENTIST, GUYS? TELL ME. Someone is obviously lying!

So yes. I'm having a nervous breakdown. And I have to find work like so fast so I can get my teeth done before they all rot and fall out. Woe is me!

(But seriously guys, I'm freaked.)

And You Wondered How I Met So Many Hot Polish Guys..

While we're on the general topic of online chatting (before the dentistry, after the birthday), let's get into the topic of chat rooms. My history of using chat rooms is extensive. I don't know about you guys, but my first experience was back when I was about eight. We had AOL then (our first Internet provider EVER!) and I would always try to get into those "AOL KIDS" chats. They had the Nickelodeon ones and the "Gold" and "Silver" and "Soccer" and whatever ones..but they were always full. I mean always! I would stay up until 1am and try to get into a tennis one, and it would be full. Who would be up at 1am, seriously trying to chat about tennis? So I don't think that I ever actually got into any of the AOL chats, and I resorted to other sites.

Now that I'm older, I realize that these "other sites" are actually better. Better software, and better people. There's one in particular that I really like, as it has a really diverse population. wireclub.com is a really great place to go if you're looking to chat with people from other countries, and there even seem to be a lot of people from the USA as well. Just lots of people in general! That's always a good sign when it comes to chat rooms. (As long as they're not booked so full that you can't get in--AOL, take note!)

So, if you're looking for some free chat rooms--without waiting for a room to open--and you also like talking to a variety of people, then I suggest that you go to Wire Club. You won't regret it. (Seriously, there are some mega hotties on there! Who can resist?)

Ouch!

So I went to get my cavity filled..yeah, right!

I waited for over HALF AN HOUR and they finally called me back. I asked how long it would take, and what do they say? Two hours! For one friggin' cavity. I was like, "Uhhh. No." We're all guessing that he just wanted to get me out of there and go home early on a Friday, because he ushered me out really fast and gave me the number of some other guy. Apparently I'm going to have to be given laughing gas? Whatever.

They also said that it would take 45 minutes to numb me (?!). 45 minutes..to give me a shot and wait for it to set in? I'm thinking fifteen tops. So I didn't go through with it. No way I'm sitting there for two hours while he putters around in my mouth and spends 45 minutes with needles making me numb (maybe).

So yeah. Since my insurance runs out in a week, I probably won't be getting the work done by then, which sucks since I'm hurting now. Ugh! Hates it. I'm going to call around on Monday and see if anyone around here has openings. I don't really want to go to a random dentist, but I guess you have to do what you have to do..

We went to Clearview Mall today, too. I didn't buy anything, but it was fun just standing around for six hours while everyone else bought stuff. *face_palm*

Rayanne: I love that.
Everyone: ?
Rayanne: Kelly stands there and strikes a pose, puts her hand on her hip and her leg out in front of her. She always does that!
Lori: I guess she's been watching Paris Hilton too much..

Well, I try! :P

Dentist!

So I went to the dentist today. Nineteen years without cavities, and suddenly I get struck with the news that I have THREE cavities and FOUR developing. Eeep! Since my insurance runs out on the 31st, they realized that it's imperative that I get in soon. Soon like..tomorrow.

Dental Hygienist: Her insurance runs out on the 31st. Can we get her in before then?
Dentist: Yeah, she can come in tomorrow at 1:45.
DH: Yeah?
Dentist: Sure, we had that cancellation. Come in tomorrow at 1:45 *something about staying late and getting it done?*
DH: That work for you?
Kelly: Yes, it should.

Then as I'm walking out, he pokes his head around the corner:

Dentist: Come at 1, actually. The McDonalds girl will be here!

What does that even mean?! A note about my dentist, though: he's a total hottie. My mom says he's like two years younger than my dad..perfect! No but seriously, really cute. He has a great first name, too. Paaaauuuuullll. Okay, I'm done. So I have to go in tomorrow at 1 and get my first filling EVER.

Yes, I'm nervous. The only time I've ever had novocaine was when I had my wisdom teeth out, and I was under at that time..so I didn't feel any pain! I'm at a loss as to what to do!

In other news: I scored a job interview today. Monday at 2. Wish me luck, guys. If I bag this, I will not only have actual spending money, but I will probably have HEALTH INSURANCE!! HEALTH INSURANCE. And I won't have to worry about getting fillings tomorrow, I can get them in the future.

I also went to the mall today. I was looking to go to Regis to get my hair cut, but they were completely full. What the hell is that?! So we went to Target and I found ONE PAIR of white Keds-knock offs on discount for 3 bucks..IN MY SIZE. How fab is that? They're actually a half size under what I usually wear, but they fit perfectly (even a little big). I love it. I wanted some nice, white, conservative shoes for my job interview. That's hot.

Ughhh. Filling. Help help help help help. I don't know how long fillings take, or how much they hurt, or anything..*dies*

Just Say Hi

If you are like about ninety percent of my friends, you are into the free online dating scene. Okay, I won’t lie—I frequent some online dating sites, too. I have dealt with some weirdos, and I have also met some really nice people. Yes, I have gone on a few dates thanks to the Internet! But after awhile, even the best online dating sites start to get muddled up with either illiterate scam artists or married men (or possibly both). That’s why I like justsayhi.com. The people on this completely free dating site seem to genuinely want relationships; as in, they aren’t after scamming you.

I also noticed that the people on this website seem to be older. This is pleasing to me because it’s kind of weird to go on other dating sites and see personals for thirteen-year olds (posing as eighteen-year olds, of course). This also makes me happy because I am naturally compatible with older men!

I made a profile, and I am positive that it won’t take you long to find me if you look. I searched for guys in my area, and some hotties came up. Yes! As far as free dating sites go, I highly recommend Just Say Hi.

It's extremely rainy out. Flash floods galore!

Sad thing: I had a dream this morning that I had a migraine. Then I woke up at 6am, with a migraine! Don't you hate when that happens? I had to down four ibuprofen and lay completely still for two hours with cold compresses on my head before I could fall back asleep again..and by then, I was so stoked by the fact that the mail was coming soon, that I couldn't sleep. I love getting mail. I got four packages today. I ordered a bunch of stuff from Brylane (pillows and totes and whatnot) and got some of them. Plus some books I got from Amazon as kind of a birthday present to myself. :)

My mother and I were going to go scrapbooking today but it's wayyyyyy too rainy out. Homebound! SOS!

Birthday!

So today is my nineteenth birthday. I love it and I hate it..I'm nervous about the fact that I'm almost twenty (no longer a teenager), but I love birthdays in general. What to think?

My day so far has been pretty good. My grandfather came over and took us out to lunch at Eat 'n' Park. I got this new rosemary chicken stuff that was mediocre; parts of it were good but then some of it just had too many spices! I got a card and no money: he was also supposed to take my brother for a few days but my brother insisted on not going--ugh..

Now my mother and father are off to pick up my DQ ice cream cake. Loves it! I'm telling you, it's the one thing I look forward to as far as birthdays go. Presents are nice and all, but ice cream cakes are just brilliance. Last year I had one from King's Cones Castle (a local ice cream place) that normally has the best ice cream ever, but the cake was terrible. Don't mess with tradition! Dairy Queen only!

The weather is rainy and cold, like it always is on my birthday. This is because during the summer of '88, it was excruciatingly hot. Then the day I was born, it suddenly started pouring and it got really cold out. I'm a Godsend, obviously. Today's also National Aviation Day, which I think is amazing considering my obsession with planes and flying.

I also had a brilliant dream last night that there was an ad in the classifieds section of the Butler Eagle. It was from PBG, and they said that they filled up the position that they had been advertising, and that the new employee was some state representative. I was relieved because the job was not in Butler, but actually far away. Most of you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, but it was a good dream.

Presents?

My Fitness Pal (or, will I regret the ice cream cake?)

So anyways, my birthday is tomorrow. Since I have an extremely extravagant party planned, involving lots of food and probably minimal movement (because who wants to dance when there's so much ice cream cake that needs to be consumed?), I can foresee myself needing to start a diet on the 20th.

Maybe the 21st. I mean, it depends on how much cake is left over, y'know?

Getting back on track--being a broke college student, I obviously can't join some website where I pay $30 a month just to chat on a message board about how much I hate exercising. I'm going to take my normal route of "tracking calories and exercise and using pictures of Angelina Jolie pre-anorexia to motivate myself." That's where My Fitness Pal comes in. It can't talk to me, but it can do the next best: it'll use its calorie counter to keep me in check regarding how many more Swedish Fish I can have each day. Not sure whether to use low-fat cream cheese or faux-butter on your bagel for breakfast? Use My Fitness Pal to look up the calories in food and put your mind at ease.

So basically, by bribing myself to do Tae Bo with Billy Blanks for half an hour per day, and using the calorie chart at MFP, I will be able to take off that Birthday 15 and do it effortlessly (and for free) in the process. Brilliance.

So, my birthday is in three days. I'll be nineteen! I know, I'm scared too. I bought myself a few books on Amazon. All stuff about WWII, so I know you're interested. :)

My father said that a few days ago, around 7am, he was sitting on the back porch. Apparently, a crane (maybe a blue heron) flew down and perched on the side of our pool. This is fascinating to me. Do I believe him? I think I do.

Now I have to stay up all night to see if it comes back! Pictures will surface, I promise this.

You scored as Romanticist, Romanticism encourages society to look backwards to find our solutions. Your rationale is that things were much better a few hundred years ago so we should thus look back to those times and replace them in our modern society. You believe in a simple life and that the complexities of the modern world have turned it upside down.

Shopping at Grove City

I went shopping with my family at Grove City's Prime Outlets on Thursday. They have fantastic bargains there! I bought:

o Sunglasses and two pairs of flip-flops from Old Navy
o Two shirts from Gap
o Undergarments from Playtex
o Two books (Life's WWII and a book about Fighter Pilots) from Borders
o Dog yogurt bars from this gourmet dog treat stand in the middle of the food court (yum!)

So yeah, I'm happy. I love my shirts. One is yellow with "GAP San Francisco" and the other is white and beige striped. Loves loves loves. Everything was a great deal. Now I need more money..

Kelly + Auto Insurance

For those of you not in the know, I'm just learning how to drive. Yeah, tell me more..eighteen and not driving? Give me a break! It's taken me this long for a variety of reasons, but mainly it was because I had a lot going on in my life between the ages of 15 and now, and also because I have this intense fear of driving off the edge of a cliff (even though there are no actual cliffs in Butler or the surrounding area). Now that I'm learning, however, I have to start thinking about the responsibilities that come with driving: maintaining and insuring a car.

I have done some research and Auto Advantage Quotes is a really good place to start when looking for insurance. Their website is easy to navigate and they have in-depth answers to any questions that you may have. I was particularly interested in their section about teen drivers. It was a relief to be reminded that I can receive a discount on my insurance since I took a driver's ed class (two years ago, but still!).

In the probable event that my uncle fixes a car up for me (it's a hobby of his), then I can look more into the insurance for classic cars. My uncle actually has lots of this kind of insurance, since he has basically a whole lot full of old cars that he drives around. He told my mother before that when I first learn to drive, I should get an "old clunker" and get insured on that so that my insurance isn't through the roof. I guess..

I hope that this website helps some of you guys! It's definitely cleared some stuff up for me. :)

Soundtracks

Yesterday I didn't have much to do (besides some terrible cleaning), so I decided to go through my extensive soundtrack collection and listen to some favorites. Most of my recent loved ones are on my Vision M, but there are some that I haven't heard in literally a year because I just haven't taken the time to rip them to the player.

Let me just say that I had forgotten how brilliant Pearl Harbor's soundtrack really is. I mean, the movie is wow, but the soundtrack is wow. And K-19: The Widowmaker? Truly epic.

On a topic vaguely touching that one, I've kind of been into submarine movies lately. A few years ago I fell in love with K-19, but I left it at that. Then I got Das Boot from Netflix a few weeks ago and pretty much fell over. Branching off, today I received Stalingrad from Netflix, which is from the same crew as Das Boot. I'm hoping for the best.

Everyone's asking me what I want for my birthday, now..

Thursday, July 26, 2007

So, now that the paper is broken (for good? Who knows!) and my only creative outlet is Associated Content, I've joined a website called Blogsvertise. I'll write blogs about certain products and get paid for it. Brilliant or what? You can read more about it or join at: http://www.blogsvertise.com.

If I'm really lucky, maybe Mitt Romney will become a product and I can write about him--and get paid to do it! Then it'll be like I'm really interning for him..;)
I have decided to go back into volunteering for politicians. Obviously, Brian Ellis can testify as to how much I helped his campaign (hint: a lot).

I'm still going for Mitt Romney, but I'm kind of leaning towards Ron Paul now..I'm not sure, there's just something about Mitt that's starting to cheese me out. But Ron Paul really doesn't catch me either.

Why won't Rick Santorum run?

The Simple Life and Motorola

I love Motorola's commercials. They pick out awesome music. The latest favorite is a Feist song. Loves.

The Simple Life Goes To Camp was on last night. This season is definitely more fake than the others (except maybe the last season).

Will they cry when they hit bottom?

I finally saw Nancy Drew today.
I don't recommend it!
That's all.

Actually, no, that's not all! Emma Roberts was way too young for the part. The dialogue and acting all around were laughable. The plot wasn't what I was hoping for. 0/10 (and I think that's a first).

Saturday, July 14, 2007

Have I mentioned that life is brilliant?
I have my own swimming pool now! :D
And on August 1st, I'm going to Prime Outlets to buy everything in the Hilfiger store.
Miss me?

Sunday, January 14, 2007

I had an awesome dream. I was in England with some friends for a vacation. There were a lot of like..friends from elementary school. It was strange. But I was in ENGLAND!

We kept going to this harbor, but it would turn into a different body of water each time we did. Then we had to keep crossing these bridges, but there were giant gaps in them. WHATEVER.

The best part of the dream was the shopping. No, actually, the best part was the Girls Aloud encounter! They were sitting at this like..cafe thing, singing this song that sounded like a mixture of "Whole Lotta History" and "Love Machine." It had the tune of WLH, but had the semi-lyrics of LM. It was weird. They were really good, but they looked different..Nicola had bleach blonde hair, and it was really thin, pulled up into this like..ponytail on the top of her head. And they were all wearing casual clothing. Nadine was wearing a sweatshirt that said "Chatterley" on it, and I was going to immediately go to the store and buy one (then I woke up). Someone in the crowd asked if they were eligible for marriage, and they all laughed and pointed at Cheryl and said, "Everyone except her."

AND THAT WAS MY DREAM. Oh, I want to go to England..:(

Saturday, January 6, 2007

Yes they are

A few things:

1. My family have left me unexpectedly, until TOMORROW NIGHT.
2. "On And On" by All Saints and "Are 'Friends' Electric" by Gary Numan/Tubeway Army are BRILLIANT.
3. Off to spend my night blasting the above and watching Season 1 of The Simple Life.

Toute Sweet

Oh man, I have a major crush on Rick Santorum. This isn't new, though, is it??

Let's bring in the new year right

Fantastic night. Slight indigestion from too much grape juice mixed with spicy Doritos aside.

Today's horoscope says: Start the New Year off with a clean slate. Forgive your enemies. Make a reasonable resolution and later in the week you will be inspired to change the things that have held you back in the past.

If anything, this year has taught me that I can't let go of anything. My slate has so much writing on it, some things are hard to decipher. And another thing--I will never forgive my enemies, or my potential enemies, or anyone that has done me wrong.

New Year's resolutions will be here later in the day. Lots of stuff to dream about tonight.
